An attempt had been made to strangle British student before she was fatally stabbed..

News.Sky.com: Dr Mauro Bacci gave his evidence behind closed doors at the request of the Kercher family's lawyer because of the graphic description of the sex attack she suffered.

The court has already heard how Meredith Kercher, 21, was found semi-naked with her throat cut in November 2007.
